For ten years I saw a different doctor of chiropractic for my low back pain.  The adjustments helped for six months then stopped.  In February 2007, I had violent stabbing pain by my L4/L5 area while warming up for golf.  Twisting made it worse.  An orthopedic surgeon gave me the drug skelaxin to help the pain.  The drug calmed it down, but the pain was still there.  On April 18, the pain was a constant 8/10 on a pain scale.  An MRI showed spinal stenosis.  Therapy helped, but got more painful as I continued.  I had several stabbing pains in my left gluteal area and pressure in left calf while walking and standing.  Stretching forward was a relief.  I came in to Meehan Chiropractic and Wellness.  After examining me, the doctors recommended that I do 20 adjustments along with disc decompression and decided to do it.  We progressively built up the weight of the pull on the decompression unit.  I received my adjustments after disc decompression therapy.  I alternated getting adjusted by Dr. Meehan and Dr. Hejny.  On the 10^th visit Dr. Hejny was able to loosen gluteal area and release all of the pain.  Leading up to that point it felt slightly tight and sore after treatments, but it continuously got better.  I Feel no pain in lower back now.
